How to choose

The Bilstein B4 is the OE-equivalent replacement for a worn car at standard ride height. B6 sharpens damping without changing height. B8 is the shortened damper intended for cars already on lowering springs — fitting a B8 to a standard-height A3 will not work correctly. B12 supplies dampers and matched springs together.

Front-wheel-drive and quattro cars take different rear suspension, and S3 models differ again — confirm the drivetrain as well as the chassis code before ordering.
